具有最快的陷阱的毛氈苔之一，它的葉片可以在幾秒內把昆蟲捲起來，葉面上密生腺毛，腺毛會分泌晶瑩剔透的黏液黏著昆蟲。為一年生草本，容易開花結子，種子掉落後很容易長出小苗，所以很容易累代繁殖。
